Air conditioner trips breaker

| This contactor had a crack in it and the breaker would trip. The contactor was getting hot and shorting out. It was a hard one to find breakers don't usually crack here. I had the part on the truck and this air conditioner is up and running again. A loose wire , bad compressor,burned wires or old breaker could also cause the a/c to trip the breaker.
